I knew close to nothing about the Japanese occupation of Korea from 1910 through WWII.

While I understand that a book can let you uninterested please, please do not romanticise a part of History that left a scar on Koreans and ethnic Koreans growing up in Japan 60 years ago.
I am excited to see what other reads 2018 brings, and I already know Pachinko will stand as one of my favorites.
It isn't a cu For all of you putting the book in your reading lists just because the live action features Lee Minho, please think a bit more about it.
Four years ago, when I first read the novel Pachinko, it blew me away.
