Latvian airline announced on 24 May that it would no longer fly in Belarusian airspace until the situation became clearer.
EU leaders meeting in Brussels said they also wanted to see Belarusian airlines banned from flying over EU airspace, and they plan to adopt further targeted economic sanctions on Belarusian officials.
The aircraft was allowed to depart after 7 hours on the ground in Minsk, reaching Vilnius 8.
